Project details
Tytocare's devices put a real stethoscope and otoscope into a patient's home. The software that turns those raw signals into something a doctor can act on is genuinely difficult. The product team needed embedded firmware, signal-processing data scientists, and full-stack engineers to ship to hundreds of hospital systems.
The challenge
Build out a medical-grade engineering capability that satisfies FDA documentation requirements. Every engineer needs to understand what regulated software development means in practice.
The solution
A dedicated team based in Lviv, Ukraine, hired with a tightened CVCO filter for healthcare or medical-device experience. Three of the original five engineers have now been on Tytocare for over five years.

Each hire goes through an additional regulatory-affairs orientation in their first week, we built that program with Tytocare. Skill exams test for traceability, audit trail awareness, and clean code under regulatory scrutiny, not just raw engineering ability.
