A long cooperation on hard-to-fill engineering roles

JFrog builds the software supply chain platform that thousands of engineering organizations run their binaries, packages and releases through — Artifactory at the centre, with security, distribution and pipeline tooling around it. The roles their R&D org needs from us aren't generic backend or front-end seats — they're very specific, often with skillsets the open market doesn't return easily. Over years of cooperation, we've placed dedicated engineers on their team for exactly those positions.

The kind of roles

A platform at JFrog's depth isn't built on generalists. The work touches binary management, package ecosystems, security scanning, distribution and the operational realities of how engineering teams actually ship — each of which has its own specialist depth. The roles JFrog brings to us reflect that. Particular tools, particular protocols, particular operational contexts. Candidates who fit them are rare, and the searches that find them aren't fast.

How we cooperate

For each position, we run a focused search and place a dedicated engineer who works inside JFrog's team — same tools, same standups, same delivery cadence as the in-house engineers. The brief comes from JFrog. The standards are JFrog's. Our job is to find the right person and place them so they can actually do the work.

Because the cooperation has run over years, the search doesn't start from zero each time. The pattern of what "senior" means inside JFrog, the language the team uses, the standards they hold — all of that is shared context by now. That's the only reason a hard-to-fill position doesn't take forever to close.

Why this matters for these roles

The harder a role is, the more cooperation matters. A generic recruitment relationship is fine for generic positions; specialist roles need a vendor that already understands the customer's product, hiring bar, and team culture before the first CV moves. That understanding takes years to build, and it's why the same roles get easier each cycle.

Where it stands

The cooperation continues. When JFrog has a position that calls for a skillset hard to find through the usual channels, the search starts here.
