“We needed regulated-fintech engineers, fast. They were on contract in three weeks.”

ezbob runs SMB lending platforms for some of the largest banks in Europe. We staffed their offshore engineering and credit-modelling team, engineers who could ship inside a UK FCA-regulated environment from day one.

Project details

ezbob's platform powers SMB lending decisions for several of the largest banks in the UK and EU. The pace of new bank integrations was outrunning their hiring. Junior or generalist engineers cannot work effectively inside a regulated financial environment, every PR has compliance implications.

The challenge

Place engineers who understood credit-decisioning logic and could pass UK FCA scrutiny on day one. The Tel Aviv talent pool for that intersection is thin.

The solution

A six-engineer pod split between Tel Aviv and Warsaw. Three backend engineers, two credit-model engineers, one platform engineer. All placed within 90 days, all with prior banking or lending experience.

The approach

CVCO was filtered against prior fintech or banking employers. Skill exams included credit decisioning logic against a synthetic dataset and a regulatory documentation task. Only candidates who passed both went forward.

We needed regulated-fintech engineers, fast. They were on contract in three weeks. Head of Engineering · ezbob

The outcome

ezbob continues to expand its bank partnerships across Europe. The offshore team has now shipped integrations for three of the bank platforms live in production.
